Earth Electrode

Information

Definition

An earth electrode is a conductive part placed in the ground to provide an electrical connection to earth. It is normally assessed during product selection, circuit design, installation verification and maintenance of EV charging equipment.

Why it matters

It may be used in TT earthing arrangements or some EV charging designs where separation from PME is required. For UK users, it supports safer specification decisions and reduces the risk of misunderstanding how a charger should be protected or installed.
