Powered by E.ON Drive & Clever was established in 2018 as a 50:50 partnership and grew into a cross-border motorway charging network. Clever says it will take full ownership of the six Danish locations, covering 48 high-power charging points, before the end of 2026.
Swedish and Norwegian sites move to separate operators
E.ON Drive Infrastructure will take sole ownership of the Swedish part of the network, comprising 19 locations and 80 high-power charging points along the E4, E6 and E18.
Uno-X Mobility Norge will take over the Norwegian sites. Uno-X says its acquisition covers 11 locations with 45 charging points, which will be integrated into its own network from 1 September.
Clever is also separately acquiring E.ON Drive Infrastructure’s Horsens West charging hub on the E45 in Denmark, adding another 14 charging points to its network.
Existing charging arrangements will change
The main practical issue is the transfer of established sites into three different operator networks. Branding, tariffs, roaming access, payment methods and support arrangements may change as the sites move under Clever, E.ON Drive Infrastructure and Uno-X.
The split follows a wider period of consolidation across Scandinavian high-power charging, with operators increasingly bringing regional assets under their own brands and operating platforms.
