The site sits at the Bellfield Interchange, close to the A71, A76 and A77, and operates 24 hours a day.
Eight 150 kW devices at an existing forecourt
Zapmap lists eight charging devices and 16 connectors at the site. CCS is available at up to 150 kW, with CHAdeMO also provided.
The layout adds high-power charging to an existing fuel and convenience location rather than creating a standalone charging destination.
MFG has not published the site’s total electrical connection capacity, so the eight individual 150 kW ratings should not be taken to mean that all eight devices can necessarily deliver their maximum output simultaneously.
Part of MFG’s wider forecourt rollout
The installation forms part of MFG’s £400 million EV charging investment programme.
The company is targeting around 3,000 charging bays by 2030 and already operates a large network of rapid and ultra-rapid charging at its forecourt estate.
The Kilmarnock site is relatively modest in scale, but it is another example of existing fuel forecourts being adapted into mixed petrol, diesel and EV charging locations at established transport nodes.
