The companies say the integration is intended to bring public charging transactions into the same billing and fleet-management workflows used for other fleet costs.
The integration targets fleet charging and reimbursement
Driivz already provides charging management, billing and reporting for fleet operations. The WEX integration adds an established fleet-payment layer that can be used when drivers charge away from a depot or workplace.
The companies also point to the wider problem of take-home fleet vehicles, where home charging may need to be reimbursed separately from public charging. A consistent payment and reporting layer can reduce the amount of manual reconciliation required across those different charging locations.
Driivz describes the connection as OCPI-certified
The announcement describes the integration as OCPI-certified. OCPI is widely used for exchanging information between charging platforms, mobility service providers and charge point operators, including authorisation, session and tariff data.
Certification does not by itself establish that every Driivz-managed charger will immediately accept every WEX credential. Availability can still depend on the participating CPO, market and commercial configuration.
Fleet charging software is moving beyond charger control
For fleet operators, charger uptime and power management remain essential, but they are only part of the operating system around electrification. Drivers also need authentication, billing, reimbursement and reporting to work consistently across depot, public and home charging.
The Driivz-WEX integration is another example of charging backends becoming connected to broader fleet-payment systems rather than operating as a separate EV-only process.
